a leisurely day in napa . . .

This Thursday I'll be taking the day off to enjoy a little time relaxing up in Napa for my birthday. Spending quality time with good friends, eating a perfectly put together picnic and enjoying a bit of sunshine is exactly what I'm in need of this year . And I think that a day in the wine country calls for lots of color, which I'm trying desperately to add into my daily ensembles. Now, if only Thursday would come even quicker.

Are there any colorful tops or clothes you've been coveting lately? Would love to know because I'm on the hunt to brighten up my wardrobe.

Hmmm... I feel like I wear more color than the average bear but I honestly think that most of my best and most colorful basics come from J.Crew. Buy a neon pink v-neck and a candy colored carigan! They are easy for layering and can transition from jorts and white jeans to skirts... Mix and match with your go-to greys and neutrals and you'll look like you know what you're doing ;) You are lucky, most all colors look so beauiful on brunettes like you!!!

I had two years ago in SFCO, and I went to Napa Valley it's perfect Lanscape, and his wines are so wonderful. I remember, i went to Francis Ford Coppola, eh.... i don't remember how do you say "bodega" in english. Sorry, i'm not sure, warehouse? but it's so beautiful!
Happy Birthday and enjoy!!!

I love your packing list. I'm looking forward to a leisurely day in Napa myself! We had so much fun at the Avia Hotel downtown last time! Enjoy!

i've been loving zara for bright pieces of late! they have loads of simple pieces in bold colors (like some I was wearing here: http://witwhimsy.com/2011/04/15/light-brite/) or some very cute options for bright stripes. enjoy napa and happy early birthday, Caitlin!
