happy holiday weekend!
Can you believe it's already July? I certainly can't. Summer, if you can hear me, "please stop going by so fast. I'd like to enjoy every single day." This weekend we will be staying in the city enjoying the calm while everyone else retreats to warmer locations a few hours away. I'm excited for my mom to be in town (Alameda flea market - watch out!), getting into restaurants that are usually packed, taking a day trip to Marin and of course spending Fourth of July at a baseball game with family - it couldn't get more perfect than that. What are all of you doing this long holiday weekend?

I can hardly believe it's July either. I absolutely love the summers here in California - the sunshine, the sense of relaxation and calmness, the long days ... how about we just freeze the weekends? :)
