happy weekend!

It's that time in June where all you want to do is throw your hair back, jump in the car and go on a little vacation. Eric and I are off to Seattle for a super mini one night trip to watch the Giants play and celebrate Father's Day with his dad. I can't wait to enjoy the city, go to Pike's Place Market, do a little shopping and best of all, we're staying in the every so lovely Cass' apartment, which I'm excited to see in person! If you have any recommendations of shops to visit, cute areas to walk around in, or restaurants to dine in, please share them.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and happy Father's day to all the dad's out there - especially mine!

xx, Caitlin

ps. Check back here Monday for an exciting unveiling of something I've been working on for a long time.

TGIF!

This week flew by in a flash and I've got to say I'm happy the weekend has arrived. This weekend will be a mix of work and play, gorgeous weather, and time spent at home relaxing.  The one thing I'm the MOST excited about - finalizing everything for my redesign right here on Sacramento Street! It's happening friends. Saturday morning I'll be doing all of the last edits and I cannot wait to reveal it in a little over a week.

Have a good one!

happy weekend!

Hello there June! As May ended last night at the stroke of midnight I found myself at a dinner party, surrounded by inspiring women from so many different trades. In my eyes it was the perfect way to say goodbye to such a wonderful month. Now as we swing into June  exciting things are on the horizon for me - my mom will finally be moving to SF, new projects will be worked on, warmer weather days spent by the ocean and the best part is that I'll be traveling to Seattle, Maine, Boston and (fingers crossed) New York. I'm excited for what lies ahead. What are you looking forward to as this new month begins?

If you've got a few minutes to get inspired, be sure to pop over to these lovely reads:
* Visual inspiration over on Pilgrim and Piles.
* Great tips and advice to keep you organized.
* Green with envy of this lounge like patio.
* I may have to make this ramp pizza this weekend.
* My fashion inspiration for the traveling I'll be doing this June.
Enjoy those reads. Have a wonderful and relaxing first weekend of June!

happy (celebrating) weekend!

Summer is right around the corner – it’s the official start in my eyes when Memorial day arrives. This weekend is all about celebrating - we’ll be celebrating my birthday (which is tomorrow – YAY!) by driving down to Carmel where we'll also be celebrating my cousins’ high school graduation. I’m so happy and proud of all her accomplishments and can’t wait to have her in San Francisco next year! I feel like a proud big sister. Then on Sunday it’s the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge, which I’m excited to be in town for because my grandfather walked across it the first day it opened.
What are you up to this three day weekend? Traveling? Exploring your city? Spending time with family? I know it’ll be a good one for all of us to take a few days to unplug and recharge our batteries. I certainly need it!

As you head into the weekend here are a few favorites I’ve loved reading this week.
- A trip to Bi-Rite Creamery.
- Currently coveting all these shoes.
- Love this “borrowed from the boy” look.
- Can’t get over these black and white photos.
- Nursery inspiration that a dear friend is pulling together for her little one.
- And lastly, I love how small this world sometimes is – here is a great example.
A big thanks to all of my May sponsors – Mill & Bird, Ruby Lane, Storkie, Pretty Mommy, and Bae Home (one of my favorite SF stores). Each of these sponsors helps support Sacramento Street and I wouldn’t be able to do it without their support.
And with that I’ll see all of you back here on Tuesday. Have a lovely long weekend friends!

it's friday!

What a fabulous week it has been - work has been refreshingly productive with lots of fun and exciting projects, nights were spent out enjoying dinners and events with friends and now we're off to Portland for my brother-in-law's wedding. We're excited to go home to see friends and family. It's going to be a fantastic weekend of celebrating!

Hope all of you have a lovely weekend where ever it might take you! See you back here on Monday - tata!

happy friday!

Well, hello there Friday! You certainly came out of nowhere. Another week has passed by and although it felt short, my workload didn't feel that way. Sufice to say - I'm ready for the weekend to begin. This weekend we are hitting the road and going up to the wine country to celebrate our wedding anniversary - a bit belated due to baseball season, but I'm incredibly happy for some r&r. I can't wait to fully unplug from my computer, soak up some rays, and enjoy some quality time with Eric.

This week there have been a handful of amazing posts around the blogosphere. With that said, I wanted to leave you with some of my favorite links:

* For anyone that needs a little tutorial on branding - you MUST read this post. I jotted down a few tips from it!

* So happy for this friend featured in a national campaign.

* I'm desperately coveting this little elephant card holder from this post.

* This new series on bluepoolroad is something I've always wanted to do.

* Bravo to everyone that participated in the Things I'm Afraid to Tell You blogger challenge. This Monday there will be another group coming together to post - I'm thrilled to be part of this movement! (thanks Jess LC for opening up and starting it all)

* Lastly, a few blogs that I'm loving - Anamu, Chelsi Morning, and Herriott Grace.

Hope you enjoy these fabulous reads. See you back here on Monday friends - I'm off to pack!

xx, Caitlin

ps. If you live in the Bay Area - be sure to pick up a copy of the SF Chronicle. You might see a certain someone featured in a story that I'm incredibly excited about!

it's friday!

Happy Friday friends! Although the work week is coming to a close, here in the office it feels like a Monday because we're so incredibly busy. Busy and productive weeks make the days go by so fast, but are quite tiresome. I'm definitely ready for some R&R this weekend at home because after we are out of town every weekend until June.

On the agenda - hanging out with girlfriends, getting the apartment cleaned up (wish I had time for a major clean), going to the Alameda Flea market to pick up some treasures for work and then finishing off the week with a home-cooked meal with Eric (no night game!).

What do you have planned this weekend?

I hope all of you have a splendid weekend and that the sun is shining bright where ever you might be!

happy friday!

TGIF! The sun is shining and the rain has come and gone this week. The sky is utterly beautiful here, which makes for another lovely spring day. This weather is quite heavenly and the forecast for this weekend looks delightful.

I’m quite giddy about this weekend. Believe it or not I’ll be going to the Kinfolk soiree here in San Francisco. When the invite appeared in my inbox I gasped with excitement. I’ve been a huge Kinfolk fan from the very first issue. The beauty the lays within the pages of each issue is stunning. I cannot wait to see the team again and be amongst such a creative and talented group. I’ll give you a full report Monday morning.

See you next week!

xx, Caitlin

ps. A huge thank you everyone that has voted for me in the Apartment Therapy Small Cool contest. Hopefully I can come back from being an underdog. If you haven’t voted, you can VOTE here.

it's friday!

After a hectic (& stressful) work week I'm ready to throw on my boyfriend jeans, a tee, and sandals. This weekend is all about being outside and enjoying this summer like weather we're being graced with - 80 degress to be exact! The days might consist of a few shopping trips with my mom, who is in town, a brunch date with girlfriends at Batter Bakery (I'm obsessed) and spending time with Eric since the Giants are away.

Hope all of you have a happy sun-filled weekend!

xx, Caitlin

ps. The Bon Iver concert last night was amazing. There are no words to describe how incredible it was. If they are coming to your city I highly recommend going!

TGIF!

As the week winds down and Friday comes to a close, I'm excited for the weekend that lies ahead. After a week of non-stop rain, thunderstorms and even hail last night I'm more than ready for a sun filled weekend. I'll be throwing my hair up in a messy bun and hopefully after today hanging up my trench.
Baseball season officially begins in San Francisco today and I can't wait to go to my very first game of the season tomorrow. It's always magical because the city gets energized. On the agenda for Sunday . . . finally organizing our pantry and hoping that it looks like the one above. I love a day of tidying up because it sets the tone for a new week.

Have a lovely weekend and thank you again for all of your comments about the Apartment Therapy feature!

happy blogshop weekend!

Oh, it feels so good to have the weekend here. I’m jumping for joy that it’s here because I’ll be spending the entire weekend at BLOGSHOP! Tonight I’ll be prepping the goodies, decorating the awesome space we arranged and meeting up with all the creative people that are making this weekends blogshop a HUGE success. I can’t wait to wrap my head around photoshop. Since I’ve been teaching myself, I think it’s finally time to learn some real tips and tricks from both Bri & Angela!

Have a good one everybody. See you back here on Monday morning!

TGIF!

Hello there Friday - you are looking oh so sweet! I certainly can't think of a better reason to smile today.

This weekend I'll be hunkering down at home to do some spring cleaning. Yes, I'll be emptying all of our cabinets, organizing and cleaning. Thankfully I have my mom here in town which makes the job even easier - she's the organization queen.

Before March ends (which I cannot believe) I'd like to give a huge shout out to the lovely sponsors we've had this month - Serena & Lily, Shop Pretty Mommy, Greenhouse Design Studio, Bae Home, Ruby Lane, Lacefield Designs, Storkie and Lo & Sons. If you haven't checked them out you most certainly should.

I hope all of you have a splendid weekend! See you back here on Monday morning.

happy weekend!

At last . . . the weekend is here and I'm off on yet another trip down to Arizona! I can't wait to soak up some sunshine because it has been quite a chilly week here in San Francisco.

Hope all of you can sit back, relax and enjoy the weekend ahead. See you back here on Monday!

it's friday!

Weekend getaways are utterly divine. Especially when it entails getting on a plane to go see Eric in Arizona. I couldn't be happier for a little escape from the city to enjoy some desert time full of heat and sunshine - my biggest problem is what to pack. Be sure to follow me on instagram to see the adventures from this weekend. Even though I'll be leaving my computer behind, I had to bring along my iPad because I can't wait to catch up on my blog reading during my flight - I'm incredibly behind.

Hope each and every one of you have a lovely weekend in store. See you back here on Monday!

it's friday!

Bonjour Friday! So happy you’ve finally arrived. Only a few more hours until the weekend officially begins. There are lots of things to smile about since I’ll be heading up to Sonoma for the weekend (where it will be in the 70’s), getting up bright and early Sunday for Alameda and then finishing it off by catching up with a girlfriend with a tea date.

Hope all of you have a lovely weekend!

it's friday + link love!

Since it was a short four day week it came and went with a blink of an eye. A few things making me smile this week:

* It was a quite week around San Francisco because of ski week, and I relish the sweet moments where we could get into restaurants without a reservation and walk the streets with no disturbance.

* Spent quality mother/daughter time on Monday.

* New blooms in the apartment always bring me so much joy.

* Prepping the apartment for a shoot always makes me love my home even more than I already do.

* And lastly, this spring like weather has me skipping with joy.

What's made you smile this week?

This weekend we will be hosting a huge dinner party with friends, enjoying a birthday celebration on the beach with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge and enjoying some downtime with Eric before he's off to Spring training.

Here are some favorites links from this week:

* It's all about grey in this post . . .

* I want all of these items in my closet . . .

* This mouth watering recipe is going to be tested on Sunday . . .

* Everyone should be downloading this fabulous Photoshop ABC tutorial . . . (thanks sfgirlbybay for introducing me to Pugly Pixel!)

* Be sure to stop by the West Elm and sfgirlbybay event tomorrow. It's going to be one you won't want to miss.

Have a happy weekend, friends!
