Living with Great Style
Wowza, this week has got the best of me. I feel as though I've been completely MIA on twitter - missing out on a whole lot, but work has been busy busy.
By the time you read this I will be on a plane to LA for the opening day of the Maison de Luxe Greystone Mansion opening. The entire Kendall Wilkinson team will be there to see our room in person - the photos I've seen are stunning. I can't wait to see all of the rooms, mingle with bloggers I haven't seen in awhile, hear a few lectures and then toast to a fabulous team. On Saturday I'm meeting up with Jessica and Fallon for lunch - I can't wait to meet them both! Then I'll be back to SF for a dinner party. Phew, it's going to be a busy little weekend, but it's going to be a blast!
While I'm away be sure to pop over to these links:
- These book covers have me swooning.
- Erica Tanov is hosting a holiday soiree Saturday at the SF store (if you live here be sure to stop by) and they are participating in the Remodelista Holiday Market at the Marin Country Mart - I'm totally bummed I'm going to be out of town.
- Love this fall look.
- I'll definitely be making this for lunch next week!
Hope all of you have a lovely weekend ahead.
xx, Caitlin
Happy Monday! I am back from a wonderfully relaxing trip to Palm Springs - it was hot, hot, hot. It was exactly the kind of weekend I needed about 2 months ago. On Friday we explored Palm Springs - did a little shopping, checked out the Ace, and then headed back to our house to cook a delicious meal. The rest of the weekend we stayed at the house for pool time. It was divine!
Here are a few of my favorites from this week . . . my caramel Clare Vivier clutch that I've been carrying around all week, a new lip gloss color by Estee Lauder (I love the bright pink), a photo strip from the Ace hotel with Eric, branches from Birch and my signed copy of HUE by Kelly Wearstler. I also went to the Viceroy, Wearstler did a phenomenal job designing it and it is even more gorgeous in person than the pictures I've seen! From the architecture, to the furniture, to the paint colors - I was in awe. And last, but not least, my new iPhone - the Apple store in Palm Springs was so incredibly kind to replace it for me. I've never had such amazing customer service. I should say that not having a phone for two days was interesting and I realized how much I rely on it. It's kind of like my third arm and I need to remember to step away and enjoy life without technology.
Hope all of you have a lovely week ahead. Summer has finally arrived in San Francisco, so I'll be frolicking around the city in sundresses.

This weekend I am off to get away from the madness of the busy work week - I'll be driving down to Carmel with my mom to spend some quality time with my family. It's just what the doctor ordered. Plus my aunt and uncle just finished renovating their entire house so I'm excited to see it all finished. I'm looking forward to drives along to ocean (a must with my uncle - he loves showing us what's new), walking their Beagle Lucy, shopping trips to Carmel by the Sea, tea time with the family and long dinners around the table. So if you're looking for me - I'll be in my comfies hanging out with the family!
While I'm away check out a few highlights from the week:
* Dreaming of having a dinner party with these essentials.
* This lovely palette has my heart swooning.
* Already thinking of transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall.
* I've got the travel bug because of Simone's trip on the coast and Peggy's trip overseas.
* Lastly, a few things I've been coveting this week . . .
Also, thank you to my wonderful new August sponsors Interior Connector, Public Bikes and La Boutique. All of these companies are amazing and if you have the time you should take a peek at each of their sites - I promise you'll love them.
Hope all of you have a wonderful and relaxing summer weekend. Enjoy every minute of it!
After a whirlwind time hitting the streets of New York and enjoying a lovely day of summer camp at Terrain right outside Philadelphia, I’m excited to be making the journey back home to San Francisco.
This past week has inspired me beyond words – I think that’s what traveling does to people. From exploring New York in the blazing heat with my favorite girls (Erin,Camille, and Lisa), to spending a day with talented bloggers, to making my first terrarium – the entire trip was magnificent and truly inspiring.
Here are a few of my favorites from this trip – a necklace I picked up at the Brooklyn Flea Market in Williamsburg by World Trades Fair, the Standard hotel that was too cool for school, hanging out with my NYC contributor Lauren from Material Lust, delicious chocolate cover honeycomb (yes, it heavenly) and lastly Terrain. Words cannot describe how inspiring it was. Don’t worry, a whole post is coming up tomorrow with details about my time there.
Hope all of you have had a wonderful week thus far.

I've been giddy all morning waiting for the much anticipated launch of Matchbook Issue 3. My mom and I had the pleasure of writing a travel article about our trip through Santa Fe this past week. When the lovely ladies of Matchbook approached us with the idea I was nervous, excited and ready to hit the ground running. As we drove into beautiful Santa Fe we were filled with a feeling that made us feel welcomed.
Pop over to Matchbook's April issue (page 36) to read our entire story (my heart literally skip a beat when I first saw it). You'll also get the 411 on the best places to stay, mouth-watering restaurants and the AMAZING shops we got to explore. Yes, we spent hours talking with all of these shop owners - it made the trip that much better.
Enjoy!

Good morning lovelies! I'm back home in San Francisco. I had an amazing mother-daughter trip to Santa Fe. Thank you for ALL of your recommendations - in the five days that we were there we accomplished a lot, while also taking some time to relax. Although I wish I was still on vacation, it's nice to be back at home. I'll have lots of fun posts this week - including a post about Santa Fe.
Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!

Last night’s SF cocktail soiree went off without a hitch - it was lovely to meet new bloggers and of course catch up with old friends. Check out some photos on Alicia and Taylor's blog. I look forward to the next (yes, it's already in the works)!
Today I'm off to spend the weekend in Portland. Looking forward to fresh snow, my favorite restaurants, spending quality time with my wonderful mom and hosting a baby shower. It'll be a jam packed weekend, but I'm excited.
Hope all of you have a beautiful weekend where ever you might be.

Getting back in the swing of things after the holidays is always rough, but this week flew by - I can't believe it's Friday. What a week! Tonight I'm getting all dolled up for a cocktail soiree with San Francisco bloggers (if you live in SF please come join us). The rest of the weekend will consist of celebrating one of my good friends birthdays, keeping myself warm by hanging out at home, booking Spring travel plans and going on a secret mission for a special someone (wish I could tell you!).
Have a lovely weekend!
Walking out of the airport last night I was graced with warm summer air that I was beginning to think I'd never experience again. Spending the evening eating fresh vine ripe heirloom tomatoes, enjoying a blueberry limeade and sitting outside was just want the doctor ordered.
