it's friday + link love!

Phew! It has been one of those weeks where I keep going and going and never stop to take a breath. The design world is keeping me busy and I'm loving every minute.

This weekend I'm excited to have some time do whatever my heart desires - maybe there'll be an impromptu trip up North or a shopping date with a girlfriend. What I do know is that I'll be getting up bright and early for the flea market on Sunday morning. I've got a laundry list of essentials to buy for work and I'm hoping I'll find a few treasures of my own. I look forward to the flea market every month - I think it's one of the only things (besides the flower market) that can get me out of bed at 6am.

it's friday + link love . . .

The past few days I've been spending quality time at home with family and friends. I'm definitely getting a taste of fall weather here in Portland - cooler temperatures, leafs are changing colors and rain is trickling down. But the best part, I already feel completely recharged to start my new job. I can't wait for Tuesday to roll around, but until then I'll be lounging at home, making delicious dinners with my mom and sipping mojitos with my dear friend Amy.

off to the desert . . .

After experiencing a extremely cold summer here in San Francisco, Eric and I thought it was time to get the heck out of this gloomy climate and take a vacation to Palm Springs. We're going with a fun group of friends - some old and some new, which makes it a perfect combination for a fun time.

Yet another week comes to a close - I can't believe next week is mid-September (time sure is flying). This weekend I'll be celebrating a bestie's birthday, taking Erin to her very first Giants game and spending Sunday getting coffee with a dear friend that I haven't seen in ages. After that I'll be hanging out at home packing for Palm Springs. I'm counting down the days until I'm on the plane to warm weather and sunshine.

My weekdays seem to jam packed and for some reason I thought August was supposed to be quiet - I was completely wrong. That's why this weekend I am having a date night with Eric (we're off to see Billy Elliot), spending a day in Marin with a girlfriend and then Sunday is wide open for anything that comes my way (I'm secretly hoping I can lounge around the house reading my book and pile of September magazines).

This weekend I am off to get away from the madness of the busy work week - I'll be driving down to Carmel with my mom to spend some quality time with my family. It's just what the doctor ordered. Plus my aunt and uncle just finished renovating their entire house so I'm excited to see it all finished. I'm looking forward to drives along to ocean (a must with my uncle - he loves showing us what's new), walking their Beagle Lucy, shopping trips to Carmel by the Sea, tea time with the family and long dinners around the table. So if you're looking for me - I'll be in my comfies hanging out with the family!

Hello weekend, it’s wonderful that you’re finally gracing me with your presence. With a whirl wind week that felt like I never stopped to breath, I’m definitely ready for the weekend.

We’re heading to the Oregon Duck game against Stanford; let’s hope the rain doesn’t come. It should be another great game, especially since we’re going with a huge group.

Sunday I’m taking it easy by catching up on my reading and hanging out with my BFF. Reading needs to happen Sunday because I haven’t even started my book club book and our dinner is in two weeks, whoops.
