happy weekend!

It's that time in June where all you want to do is throw your hair back, jump in the car and go on a little vacation. Eric and I are off to Seattle for a super mini one night trip to watch the Giants play and celebrate Father's Day with his dad. I can't wait to enjoy the city, go to Pike's Place Market, do a little shopping and best of all, we're staying in the every so lovely Cass' apartment, which I'm excited to see in person! If you have any recommendations of shops to visit, cute areas to walk around in, or restaurants to dine in, please share them.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and happy Father's day to all the dad's out there - especially mine!

xx, Caitlin

ps. Check back here Monday for an exciting unveiling of something I've been working on for a long time.

four favorites

The warm weather is still here, which means I've already run out of summer ensembles. It’s so rare to have glorious weather for this long - not that I'm complaining. So as I was shopping online, I found these items that I'd love to have in my closet for this heat.

1. Acne Moreau Chambray Dress

2. Ashley Pittman Pembe Horn Necklace

3. Lanvin Python Studded Heel Sandal

4. Pieces Premium Naysa Leather Shopper

Do you have any must-haves that I should add to my summer wardrobe?

on the menu: white nectarine salad

Summer salad season is in full swing. The farmers market is overflowing with tons of salad goodies; strawberries, peaches, cherries and more - I'm in heaven! This last weekend I went to the farmers market and picked up everything for this recipe. It's easy, I promise!

Enjoy and bon appétit friends!

Ingredients:
10oz. mixed greens
1 white nectarine, cut into bite sized pieces
¼ cup sliced candid pecans, lightly toasted
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon honey

Directions:
- Place the sliced pecans in a skillet over low heat to toast for about 4 to 6 minutes.

- At the bottom of a large salad bowl pour in the white wine vinegar and mix in honey.  Whisk the ingredients together.  Then slowly drizzle the 4 tablespoons of olive oil into the bowl.

- Then cut the white nectarine into bite sized slices and add salad bowl. Gently toss until coated and add in mixed greens.

- Once the greens are coated, top the salad with the toasted pecans. Finish it off with a dash of sea salt and pepper.

a brand new week . . .

This weekend was the epitome of summer here in San Francisco. It was all about 80 degree weather (with no sea breeze or fog), time spent outdoors wandering around the city enjoying friends company, stores I never get to pop into and a little quality time at the park. It was blissful and quite honestly felt like a three day weekend. It's amazing what a little vitamin D can do for the soul.

A few things that I'm loving from this weekend - the new issue of Vogue Living, white peonies (my favorite flower), homemade granola from Batter Bakery and lastly an image I took of the super sweet strawberries I picked up at the farmers market this weekend.

I hope all of you had just as sweet of a weekend as I did. Let this week bring you joy, happiness and productivity!

TGIF!

This week flew by in a flash and I've got to say I'm happy the weekend has arrived. This weekend will be a mix of work and play, gorgeous weather, and time spent at home relaxing.  The one thing I'm the MOST excited about - finalizing everything for my redesign right here on Sacramento Street! It's happening friends. Saturday morning I'll be doing all of the last edits and I cannot wait to reveal it in a little over a week.

Have a good one!

I'm Loving . . .

Taking colorblocking into your home.
Jean on jean ensembles.
Beautiful styled vignettes - I'm especially loving the geometric chest of drawers.
Looking for typeface inspiration? This book is filled with them. It's one of my favorites that the art director from my old job introduced me to.

Hello amazing packaging? Why can't all companies design their mascara this way?
At the end of the day wouldn't you want to enjoy a relaxing evening in this peaceful bedroom? I would!

Lastly, I'm loving these two amazing blogs that featured me this week. Pop over to A Piece of Toast where I shared my sense of style and then head on over to Lark & Linen where you can get to know me a little more - I shared some secrets and random facts.

What are you loving this week?

four favorites + a giveaway!

June is a month filled with traveling. Because of that I thought I'd share my four essentials for traveling. Most important - my Lo & Sons O.G. tote. I'm not kidding when I say it comes with me on every single trip. I tried to use another tote once and it ended badly - my things were disorganized and I couldn't find my stuff. Luckily this post comes with a giveaway! One reader will win an O.G. tote – that’s right friends. At the end of the post I'll tell you how to enter.

1. A Lo & Sons O.G. tote to keep me organized.

2. Rodin Hand Crema that I can't leave without.

3. A fun scarf for chilly airplane rides.

4. Chic sunglasses.

Now here's how you enter the giveaway:

•  Head over to Lo & Sons twitter account and show them some love.
•  Leave a comment below about which color bag you'd adore to have for your summer traveling.

A lucky winner will be chosen next Tuesday (ending at midnight PST). Please be sure to leave your email address if you don't have it in your blogger profile.

But there is more! Lo & Sons is currently having a 25% off sale right now, so be sure to take advantage of it.

Good luck to all of you!

on the menu: citrus salad

I've been on a citrus kick! Lately I've been craving it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is an easy and delicious salad has been my favorite go-to for citrus.

Hope all of you enjoy it as much as I do.

Bon appétit friends!

Directions:
1. Prepare syrup.

2. While the syrup is cooling down, slice up the citrus fruits – slice off the rind on the top and bottom, then slice down the sides.

a brand new week . . .

This weekend was all about enjoying friends company and having a lot of downtime to relax at home - these days, that doesn't happen very often. It was just the weekend I needed - seeing girlfriends, cooking at home and opening up a book. It was quite blissful.

A few things I'm loving - a new hand towel, recipes cards (both a birthday present from Mrs E), new wrapping tape, and peonies are everywhere (twitter, instagram and blogs). I couldn't resist posting these beauties because they are making my house smell utterly divine.

Now that June is underway I want to welcome two new sponsors to Sacramento Street - Lo & Sons is back and they've got some incredible new colors and styles (pop back Wednesday for a giveaway with them). And Vero Linens is a brand new sponsor and let me tell you - their sheets are heavenly. It's like going to sleep in a soft cloud. Big thank you to both sponsors for being part of the blog this month.

Have a wonderful Monday friends!

happy weekend!

Hello there June! As May ended last night at the stroke of midnight I found myself at a dinner party, surrounded by inspiring women from so many different trades. In my eyes it was the perfect way to say goodbye to such a wonderful month. Now as we swing into June  exciting things are on the horizon for me - my mom will finally be moving to SF, new projects will be worked on, warmer weather days spent by the ocean and the best part is that I'll be traveling to Seattle, Maine, Boston and (fingers crossed) New York. I'm excited for what lies ahead. What are you looking forward to as this new month begins?

If you've got a few minutes to get inspired, be sure to pop over to these lovely reads:
* Visual inspiration over on Pilgrim and Piles.
* Great tips and advice to keep you organized.
* Green with envy of this lounge like patio.
* I may have to make this ramp pizza this weekend.
