dining room envy

Today, I fell head over heels for this dining room - the white walls, the beautiful chairs (be still my heart), the clean lined table, and then the beautiful branches that give the room life. Everything is perfection! Whenever I see stunning dining rooms like this one, it always gives me the urge to completely redecorate ours.

This dining room is definitely going straight to the top of my "dream house" inspiration file.

lighting: which one do you adore?

Sometimes I feel like lighting gets put on the back burner when someone is thinking about designing a space, but for me it's an important focal point in any room. Whether you are designing a dining room, living room, kitchen or bedroom - it matters. Lighting makes a huge statement whether people realize it or not. It can set the entire mood for a space.

There are so many different looks you can go for with lighting. Sleek, sophisticated, feminine, modern or retro. They come in all shapes, colors and sizes - there's truly a light fixture for everyone.

Do you have a favorite light fixture? Or would you put any of the above seven light fixtures in your home?

dining room chairs: which one do you adore?

When it comes to dining rooms - the chairs totally make a HUGE difference. They can either make or break the entire room. In my apartment I have old wood chairs from Barcelona (thank you mom for spotting them at an antique shop) - they are beyond amazing and some of my favorite items in my house. Sometimes I want to mix it up and try using different styles around the table; modern, antique, contemporary. I think everyone has their own preference, what's yours?

dining area: which one do you adore?

This past weekend I was playing around with different vignettes and furniture arrangements in my dining room trying to decide what worked best. When you live in a small apartment you don't really have the option to move a lot of furniture around - le sigh. I've been transitioning little vignettes on my white round table, but haven't found that perfect combination of treasures. Is there a particular dining area above that speaks to your style?

Would also love to know, do you have a signature look to your table and chairs? Do you always have fresh flowers or a beautiful ceramic bowl in the middle of your table? Chime in, I'd love to know!

clean + simple

The reason I was drawn to this dining room is because of the "less is more" feeling. The antique candlesticks, simple art wall and the long shelf along (my favorite). The way the shelf is styled with the cluster of gold candlesticks, stacks of beautiful books and the unique storage boxes is some time going to think about doing in my next home. I'll definitely be keeping this in my inspiration folder for the future.

What's your favorite part of this room?

*Photos: Can't remember. Anyone? I'd love to credit them.
