A little pop of color is what everyone needs in July. When I came across this STUNNING Celine two-toned tote my heart started beating way too fast – it’s a thing of beauty. Wishing it miraculously appear in my closet!

This weekend I’ll be rummaging through my closet to find outfits for New York. Since we don’t get a lot of warm weather in SF I’ve got a limited wardrobe to work with but I’m ready to get creative. This simple ensemble is definitely going to be my Saturday staple.

Our days are currently being filled with lots sunshine and I couldn't be happier - it calls for spending more time outside (I'll find any excuse to be in the sun), finding a sun filled corner of my apartment to enjoy reading a good book or perhaps my new Vogue Living and a hike over in the headlands. I'm quite excited for the next few days off . I'll be putting on my comfy weekend wardrobe, stripes are a must and embrace every ray of sunshine (even if it's a little breezy).

Have you ever found a designer where you anxiously wait for their new collection to arrive? Well, one of my favorite designers, Michele Janezic's Spring/Summer collection just hit stores - I've been dying to get my hands on a few pieces this season. Each piece of Janezic clothing I've owned has become an instant staple in my wardrobe. What I love most is that you put each piece on and you are ready to hit the town - no fussing around needed. This season I'm in love with the Liberty print Lou, Metropolis Julia and Marcel in black crepe de chine . . . all are must have's that will get you through summer and will transition perfectly into early fall.

Along with these stunningly beautiful photographs Leslie Williamson took of the Janezic collection is a lovely one minute video that will make your soul sing and your heart my skip a beat from it's beauty. I've watched it far too many times anticipating the arrival of these gems.

pure bliss . . .

Last fall I had the pleasure of spending the day shooting Erica Tanov's Berkeley home with Leslie Williamson. Erica's bedroom is one of many rooms that made my heart skip several beats. From the stunning de Gournay wallpaper, to the treasure trove of flea market finds, to the beautiful bed linens - every single detail was jaw-dropping. This room in particular made me day dream about lounging day in and day out looking through her bedroom window at the Golden Gate bridge while reading Leslie's incredibly inspiring book, Handcrafted Modern.

Today, I'm excited to announce that Erica Tanov has opened her fourth store at the Marin Country Mart. It's STUNNING. When I first heard several months ago that she would be opening a fourth store in Marin I was overjoyed with excitement. I kept hearing more and more details about the design ideas from Erica - the wall of gold sequins, the beautiful wood details, the vintage dressing room curtains and more.

It all came to life this weekend. I hoped in my car because I had to stop by to see it all in person. It's even more beautiful than I expected. I'm so proud of Erica and the team that helped turn her store into a masterpiece - as I walked out of the store I was filled it inspiration. If you live in the Bay Area be sure to check it out! The Marin Country Mart has a farmers market on Saturday's so you can kill two birds with one stone.

A Beautiful Luxury: Les Indiennes

When I'm looking for a little inspiration one of first places I go to is the Les Indiennes lookbook. Five years ago I started working at Erica Tanov and I fell in love with the Les Indiennes bedding we carried.

Mary Mulcahy creates a simple, fresh and rustic look that embodies what is authentic to India, but as she says "meets the Western eye."

Specializing in 100 percent natural cotton bedding that is hand blocked using ancient traditions and natural vegetables dyes. When you look at each piece they create it looks like a work of art. Such a luxury!

I hope these images bring you as much inspiration as they bring me.

A Night Filled with Holiday Parties

My San Francisco festivities are in full swing starting tonight. I can't even begin to think about all of the parties in Portland until I get on the plane next Tuesday. But for now . . .

I'm all dolled up for my DivineCaroline company soiree and later tonight I'll be heading over to Berkeley with my ET girls for our annual holiday dinner at Erica Tanov's house.

I love when all of the ET ladies get together because we always seem to have great conversation, delicious food, amazing wine and of course everyone looks fabulous.
