I'm Loving . . .

The perfect weekend attire for running around town.

A messy pony is essential for busy work weeks.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Inspiration for my moms new condo.

Neutrals and black ensembles make my heart go a flutter. This one in particular is stunning!

I'm Loving . . .

For me there's nothing better than filling your house with fresh blooms - they instantly make a home look polished and cheery. Going into my favorite flower shops is like a little treat that is totally worth every penny.

The cool color palette of this home shot by Lonny is right up my alley. It's incredibly serene and peaceful.

I've been coveting this clutch for quite some time now - it's the perfect size and the color will go with any ensemble I throw together in the morning. It can even go from day to night. Don't worry, I've already added it to my wish list.

Are you constantly looking for summer salad inspiration? I certainly am. Eric is always asking me to mix it up a little. This salad by Sparkling Ink caught my eye due to its vibrate colors, but it looks delicious. I'll be heading to the farmers market to pick up the ingredients to make it - let's hope it gets Eric's stamp of approval.

Lately I've been completely in love with the idea of creating a little inspiration photo collage with things that have inspired me throughout the week - I'm toying with the idea of adding it as a weekly blog post. This photo in particular made me want to do it even more. Would this be something you would want to see? I think it could be fun!

What are you loving this week? Is there a ensemble that got you to be creative in your closet? A room that made you daydream? I'd love to know.

gearing up for the summer season . . .

Although we have been graced with May showers for the past few days, all I can think about is shedding the layers for a casual summertime look. I'll be breaking out my Vanessa Bruno tote I bought in Paris two years ago, putting on a summer frock and sport my staple nude flats. Also on the agenda is making sure to take some time offline to enjoy my stack of summer reads on the couch - it's important to check out and get inspired. What will you be doing to get ready for summertime? If only the weather would cooperate on the west coast!

living room: which one do you adore?

I adore Trad Home, it's beautiful, sleek and incredibly well edited. It's one of the first magazines to actually get me charged up in a very long time! My head is swirling with loads of inspiration - I'm excited to welcome it into the online magazine world.

Although I was drawn to many rooms, the living rooms are what got my heart beating ten times faster. Maybe it's because I'm working on a few clients living rooms at the moment, or maybe it's because I've been longing to redecorate my own, in the end all of these living rooms caught my eye.

So I ask you, which one of these stunning living rooms do you adore? Is there a piece of furniture you want for your own home?

casual weekend date

This weekend Eric and I will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. Time flies! It feels like just a few months ago we were packing up the car and heading to Yountville.

Since it creeped up on us , we're having a low-key date up in Yountville to have lunch at Bottega. My mouth is watering just thinking about their ricotta gnocchi - YUM. I started dreaming up what to wear on our date and this seemed like the perfect ensemble - bright blue dress, a casual pump and of course girly nails.

Now if only this dress could appear in my closet . . .

bookshelves: which one do you adore?

This week I decided to wander through the archives of Lonny Magazine and I quickly realized the they had an endless amount of beautiful bookcases. As I sifted through them there was something that drew me to different images - maybe it had to do with color or the way in which the books are arranged.

I truly believe that bookshelves are a form of art in a home - they are showcasing treasures. What do you look for when you're putting together a bookcase? And most importantly, which one of these do you adore the most?

inspiration: thanksgiving tabletop

Who would have thought that after being married for only seven months (happy anniversary honey!) we'd be hosting Thanksgiving? I certainly didn't, but here we are and I couldn't be more excited. I've been searching blogs, magazines and books to find inspiration for this year's table and there was one feature I kept going back to - Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar's from the October issue of Lonny Magazine.

The blue, orange and golden color palette is perfect for the holidays. I'm also a strong believer in mixing old with new. In fact, I'm off to search for some treasures for the table. Do you have any Thanksgiving tabletop inspirations?

beautiful sunporch . . .

I've been in love with sunporches for a long time - they remind me of the house I grew up in Washington D.C. This one in particular has the indoor/outdoor feel that everyone dreams of having.

The dark wall makes everything else pop - the modern lamps, white plush pillows and the amazing tribal rug make this room the best place to spend time in during the summer. All you need is a mojito while watching the sunset.

Thompson Sisters: Antonia

Antonia's condo is the complete opposite of her sister Victoria's. Her decor aesthetic consists of mixing vintage and modern. She also has a mixture of high and low end decor. In Lonny, they best describe it as a bit of "hodgepodge" because she tends to decorate-as-she goes.

I can relate to how Antonia decorated her condo because that is exactly how I learned how to decorate from my
Mom. Just start collecting what you love and eventually you'll figure out how to put it all together.

The mix of modern and vintage in the living/dining room works perfectly together. I'm still amazed that Antonia was able to decorate most of her condo by shopping on eBay. Wish I was eBay savvy, but I haven't mastered it quite yet. It's definitely on my "things to learn" because the pieces she found are fabulous.

Almost anybody will kill to have a fireplace, but to have one this gorgeous is something I'm completely envious of.

Simple but chic, that's all you need to have a great looking bar.

Anything in Hermes orange adds just the right pop of color to any home. But filled with jewelry like this is just down right amazing.

All of you know I have a love for desks and this one is perfectly put together. It's clean, sleek and minimal, which makes me love it even more.

I hope you enjoyed looking at both Victoria and Antonia's beautiful condos. They are so different, but both condo's brought
me inspiration in different ways. I hope they brought you a little inspiration as well.

Thompson Sisters: Victoria

When I'm looking for a little inspiration I'm usually attracted to things I don't normally go for. Weird right? When I was thumbing (clicking, I like to think that it's printed magazine) through Lonny's third issue, I was drawn to the Thompson sister's apartments. They are world's apart in terms of design, yet Antonia and Victoria live in the same building.

Victoria's inspiration comes from the 50s and 60s. Her apartment is filled with bright patterns, Lucite, and lots of texture. If feels as though you should be in Palm Beach, not New York.

What I'm drawn to the most is the color palette. The turquoise and chartreuse are refreshing.

One thing that Lonny Magazine does a fabulous job at is featuring bars. Since they started I've been wanting one in my apartment. Once I move into a bigger apartment I hope to have a bar just like the one above. My favorite part is the apple, it's perfectly placed.

I've been inspired by the way people display their jewelry. I think putting the jewels you wear the most on a tray is the perfect way to have them on a dresser. That way you can quickly put the last touches of your outfit on in the morning.

Ok, I'm a HUGE tray lover. Probably because when you put items on trays it makes a room feel more organized. More importantly, I've been trying to find a heart-shaped bowl (like the one above). Does anyone know where it's from?

What an amazing desk. Other than the fact that everything is perfectly placed, the desk itself is great. I think anyone would love a desk that has a place to store magazines. I know I do.

Some of Victoria's favorite places: Apartment 48, Global Table, and Haus Interior in New York. Cashmere Buffalo and C. Bell in West Palm Beach.

Later today, I'll be posting on Antonia's apartment.
