happy weekend

Off to Tiburon this morning to kick off wedding festivities for one of my best friends. I can't believe she's getting married tomorrow. It'll be a weekend celebrating love, happiness and the union of two individuals meant for each other.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

it's friday!

It's been a busy little week - it's nice that Friday has finally arrived. This weekend is a special one. Eric and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary! I'm in complete shock that it's already been a year, I think that's a good sign.

We've got a special day planned on Sunday - a beautiful drive up to Napa through the rolling vineyards, glasses of bubbly, delicious food and most of all we'll be enjoying quality time with each other. I can't wait to spend the day with my best friend, soulmate and loving husband.

Hope all of you have a lovely weekend ahead of you!

xoxo,
Caitlin

breathtaking mill valley wedding

Since my best friend Nicole got engaged I've got the urge to start my Wedding Wednesday posts again. I’m elated they are engaged! We've been brainstorming different parts of the Bay Area to get married and when I stumbled upon this gorgeous wedding that took place in Mill Valley I couldn't resist posting it. I've passed this "secret" garden many times with Nicole on our weekend trips up to the North Bay - it's truly magical. This wedding made my heart skip a beat with the feminine and somewhat whimsy feel, although I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that Nicole is finally going to be walking down the aisle. Oh my, the tears are already coming!

happy monday!

What a weekend - I got to spend the day chatting away with Alicia and Taylor, found my new favorite nail polish color (Tickle My France-y), and the best part, my best friend got ENGAGED! I couldn't be more excited for the happy couple. Mostly I'm relieved that I no longer have to keep it a secret anymore . . . it was rough. I had so much fun planning the night with her fiance and I got the pleasure of helping him pick out her beautiful ring. I'm still giddy with excitement!

I hope all of you have a wonderful start to your week, whether you've got the day off or you're working. I look forward to a busy week (when is not?) but I'm especially excited about our San Francisco blogger cocktail soiree on Thursday night!

sponsor post: bustle events

Christmas is a popular time to get engaged - our family is giddy with excitement because my brother-in-law got engaged to his lovely high school girlfriend the day after Christmas. I feel as though I should start my "wednesday wedding updates" again!

For anyone planning a wedding, bridal shower, or event you should definitely contact our latest Sacramento Street sponsor - the one and only Bustle Events. Erin Taylor is a spectacular Bay Area wedding and party planner. Her great sense of style and impeccable taste are bound to make any event one to remember. I'm thrilled to have her as a sponsor and excited for what's to come in her career!

I'd highly recommend popping over to her blog, where you'll find endless amounts of inspiration!

happy {wedding} weekend!

Another week has come and gone. I've been counting down the days for my journey up to Seattle, where I'll be searching for treasured spots, enjoying some porch time with Cassandra and Erin, and going to a beautiful wedding lakeside. I can't wait for the adventures this weekend will bring! What are all of you looking forward to?

Have a lovely weekend!

happy friday!

Days like today are why San Franciscans deal with fog - blue sky, minimal wind, warm temperatures and the sun is shining bright. This weekend I'll be at the beach getting some much needed vitamin D.

Enjoy your weekend and thank you for stopping by Sacramento Street with all of your lovely comments; they made my week - especially about my paint samples.

j.crew bridal: a taste of luxury . . .

The first J.Crew Bridal Boutique isn't just for brides - thank god! If only I had waited a few months to get married (just kidding). Take a look inside the new store.

Could I just have one of everything? Those shoes are TO DIE FOR - I think I may have the perfect spot in my closet for these lovelies!

J.Crew Bridal is one of only two stores that carry Histoires de Parfums in New York.

One of many things I love about J.Crew is their jewelry. Every piece I've bought or received as a gift is beautiful and I cherish each piece I add to my collection. Don't you just love the way they display their jewelry?

Whether your a bride or bridesmaid or a guest at a wedding, there is something for everyone at this store. Just look at the beautiful wedding dresses to choose from - le sigh! They are amazing. Not to mention on the other side of the store you've got an array of stunning bridesmaid dresses. Any bridesmaid would be lucky to wear any of these dresses. I can spot a few I already love.

To end the night, J.Crew had Rickshaws available to take guest home for free - très chic. On the side of each of them it read, "Say I do to J.Crew."

J.Crew definitely pulled out all the stops for this lovely event. I can't wait to stop by the store next time I'm in New York.

Happy {Staying in the City} Weekend!

This weekend will be filled with all things San Francisco. The hubby and I are heading down to the Ferry Building for our Saturday farmers market ritual (when there isn't a baseball game). We'll be doing more wedding gift organizing around the house, going to Benjamin Moore for paint samples and of course going to dinner with friends.

Next week I'll be posting more photos from the wedding. I'm excited to share our ceremony and reception photos with you. I've been blushing the past two days because of all the sweet comments you've left. Both of us were on cloud 9 during our "first look" photos and I'm glad all of you can see the emotion both Eric and I were experiencing.

Until next week lovelies! I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.

xoxo, Mrs. Caitlin

I'm Back!

Hello luvies! I've missed all of you so much over the past three weeks.

I don't know how to describe how perfect our wedding day turned out. Eric and I are still glowing from our wedding day. It was truly a beautiful, joyous and heart-warming day. I can't wait to share photos with you. We've only received six so far as a preview. I'm dying to share them, but I'm hoping that we get more in the next couples days.

After our Napa wedding, we got on a plane to Kauai. Let me just tell you, I couldn't imagine having a better honeymoon than we did. It was relaxing, adventurous and incredibly fun! I'll be putting together a whole post about the favorite little hideaway spots we found around the island.

Lastly, I'd like to say thank you, thank you, thank you to ALL of the amazingly talented bloggers who filled Sacramento Street while I was gone for three weeks.

Cassandra – coco + kelley

Paloma – La Dolce Vita

Erin – Apartment #34

Kelley – Mrs. Lilien

Anne – The City Sage

Daniella – dress, design, décor

Julie – CreateGirl

Crystal – Plush Palate

Melissa – Ruby Press

Lori – automatism

Jennifer – Bits of Beauty

Victoria – sfgirlbybay

Without you wonderful ladies I don't know what I would have done. All of your posts were truly inspiring!

It's nice to be home and I can't wait to get back into blogging. Keep a look out for our wedding photos, Kauai details and daily inspiration.

xoxo, Mrs. Caitlin

Happy {Going to the Chapel and I'm Going to Get Married} Weekend!

Nine years ago I met the love of my life and tomorrow we'll be getting married. Everyone is flying in, driving through the wine country and arriving to our destination wedding spot. I'm over the MOON excited.

When we get back from our honeymoon, I promise to share pictures and many, many details with you.

See you all back here on April 26th, when I'll be a Mrs.

Goodbye All, Hello Guest Bloggers

As I'm about to take an incredible journey in my life, I want to thank all of you for being so supportive. I cherish sharing all of my inspiration, random thoughts and lots of rambling thoughts that I've had over the past eleven months preparing for our wedding day. Each and every one of you have brought me such joy, creativity and strength. Thank you for being there every step of the way for this huge step I'm about to take.

This is the last post I'll be blogging before the wedding. But don't you worry, I've got some fabulous bloggers holding down the fort while I'm away (thanks again lovely ladies!). You'll just have to look out for the first post today to find out what I've asked them to blog about. Want a hint? You may get a peak into their homes . . .

Thank you again for your friendship and support, you guys are why I love blogging so much!

See you back here in a few weeks. I can't believe I'll be a Mrs!

xoxo, Miss. Caitlin

p.s. I want to thank my bridesmaids for all that you've done over the past fifteen months of our engagement. And an even BIGGER thank you to my maid of honor for being there every step up of the way with love, support and being such an amazing best friend (and housesitting while we are away). You're the best!

Wedding Wednesday: 10 Days and Counting!

With only 10 days left until the BIG day, I'm running around San Francisco like a chicken with my head cut off. Finalizing the last minute details has been so much fun. For now, the most important things are done . . .

. . . my wedding dress is hanging, waiting to be worn

. . . the earrings my aunt gave me as an early wedding gift are sparkling

. . . flowers and decor are done

. . . our amazingly delicious cake is going to be beautiful

. . . and next week I'll be making my way through the Napa Valley hills with friends and family to celebrate our wedding day!

This will be my last Wednesday Wedding Update. It's a sad day! I've loved sharing every detail with all of you. I PROMISE to come back from the honeymoon with details I wasn't able to share yet (invitation details, wedding photos and honeymoon stories).

I want to thank all of you for your love and support throughout the past 15 months of our engagement. You've been amazing and I really couldn't have done all of this without you.

I'm not leaving you yet. I'll be blogging until Monday but Tuesday I've got something very special lined up while I'm gone. I can't wait for all of you to see what it is.

Wedding Wednesday: French Inspiration

With seventeen days until the wedding both Eric and I are working around the clock to get everything done. Because we are in seating chart land right now, I thought I'd leave you with a wedding I've been in love with since Abby over at Style Me Pretty posted it. Every detail that went into this wedding is beautiful and very well thought out.

My favorite detail is the papel picado. It reminds me of growing up in Mexico. We're actually planning on using it for our rehearsal dinner.

What do you love about this wedding?

Wedding Wednesday: Napa Inspiration

With my wedding right around the corner (only three more weeks) I'm a busy bee. When I came across this beautiful Napa wedding it made my jaw drop. I fell in love with the rustic, raw beauty of the entire wedding. The venue, Durham Ranch in particular, is amazing on its own. Sit back and enjoy this spectacular DIY wedding.

What was your favorite part about this wedding? Mine, are the chandeliers they made for the barn.
